MIC B and B12 injections are a great way to ensure your body is receiving essential vitamins and amino acids that facilitate weight loss and boost energy.
What is B12?
Vitamin B12 is a co-factor in the transfer of methyl groups in the body, important in the synthesis of DNA. B12 is also important for carbohydrate metabolism. It is commonly low in people as it is easily processed out of our natural food sources.
Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin, is a water soluble vitamin with a key role in the normal functioning of the brain, nervous system and formation of blood. It is typically involved in the metabolism of every cell in the human body including fatty acids and energy production. Consequently, a B12 deficiency can result in decreased energy, anemia and mood changes.
What is MIC B?
MIC B is made up of three main components: Methionine, Inositol, and Choline. These are “lipotropic” substances that play important roles in fat metabolism, liver function, and fat excretion.
Methionine is an amino acid that reduces fat, aids in lowering cholesterol, and helps synthesize other amino acids needed by the body.
Inositol metabolizes fats and cholesterol and helps transport fats in the blood system. Thus, inositol can aid in the redistribution of body fat and can help to lower cholesterol levels by moving cholesterol to the liver where it can be excreted.
Choline works in combination with inositol and emulsifies cholesterol so that it prevents settlement on arterial walls. It also works with methionine to detoxify the by-products of protein metabolism. Without choline, fats can become trapped in the liver and block metabolic functions.
